Transportation needs are often a challenge

Sometimes we have to get creative in order to assist our patients in need. This was a situation where we had to come up with an alternative way to get our patient to us.

We are in need of some help. We are trying to assist this lovely kitty named Gracie. She is a sweet, loving companion to her human mom who is trying to get her the help she needs. As you can see in the photo below, Gracie has developed a fast-growing mass on her front leg and we do not like anything fast growing, especially on cats. We need to see this girl pronto and remove that lump before it decides to grow elsewhere. Gracie’s mom has qualified for our services, but we have hit a huge speed bump in trying to get Gracie to us. Mom is housebound and doesn’t drive. We have been working for 2 weeks to tap all of our community driving programs, public transport options, and volunteers all to no avail. As this mass continues to grow, we are using up precious time. Our only option to get this sweet kitty to us asap, was to hire a driver. This is not something we normally do, but Gracie needs our help. The total cost to bring Gracie to us and then bring her back to mom once she has surgery, is $140. Can you all give us a hand in offsetting this expense?
